It seems as if we have many forums set as source of the thumbnail. The system chooses which image among the forums is not equal in terms of selected forums.

i use the 1.0.4 version of this repository which is up to date now: #9. On your forum, here: http://bb3.mobi/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29, there are missing fixes integrated in #9, but it’s not enough to fix this issue.
