Description
We need to research how to recreate some of the access features of EQUELLA, e.g. anywhere we used item metadata ACLs. Some specific scenarios we would like to support:
- Sharing records with all authenticated users (Everyone at CCA)
We have worked on sharing items with specific metadata values with a particular group but there remains one rather large bug, using the main search engine to retrieve the restricted records.
One approach we could use is a scheduled job which looks for newly added/modified items, checks for specific metadata, and shares the records with the requisite groups. It would be good to create at least a proof-of-concept of this tactic to feel out its viability.
