Typing into search box quickly causes missed characters

Chrome 39. Type quickly into the search box. Only some of the characters make it in.

I also encountered it but not on Chrome 39. I deployed it on Heroku and encountering this on my instance, I am using Chrome. Also tried accessing the site on my Android Chrome browser and same issue. However, this issue is not present on my Chrome desktop on my localhost.

Hi @jus101 I've solved this issue.

On the app.js, under the SearchBar component, simply remove the value attribute of the searchKey input, this one:

value={this.props.searchKey}

and modify your searchHandler method to:

var searchVal = this.refs.searchKey.getDOMNode().value;
this.props.searchHandler(searchVal);
this.props.searchKey.value = searchVal;
