Yeah. I think this is a good idea. I suspect this can largely be accomplished with judicious use of sed, but I will need to look. |

I wish for a decentralized replacement for the scientific publishing oligopoly. arxiv.org is the most successful such effort to date (I believe most physicists regard a post there as a pub), and they advertise themselves as an e-print archive. Would rebranding chive from a preprint server to, e.g., an eprint or epub server (or something similar), and changing some of the lexicon ids and fields to, e.g., "pub.chive.eprint.submission", help position this platform to be something more than simply a preprint server?
