[5.9.5]: New elements added to a relational field don't respect the view mode setting

What happened?

Description

If a relation field (here: assets) is set to view mode = 'Card grid', this is initially not respected when a new element is added:

Refreshing the page fixes this.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create an assets field with View Mode = Card grid
2. Add an element

Expected behavior

Show up as card

Actual behavior

Shows up as in 'list'
