Building on a linux container and failed

I cloneed, then pip install requirements.txt and got errors (running on an ubuntu clean container):

         windowing: no  [Microsoft Windows only]

OPTIONAL LATEX DEPENDENCIES
dvipng: no
ghostscript: no
latex: no
pdftops: no

OPTIONAL PACKAGE DATA

dlls: no [skipping due to configuration]

                    * The following required packages can not be built:

                    * freetype, png

Command python setup.py egg_info failed with error code 1 in /tmp/pip_build_root/matplotlib

@omerxx Thanks for trying this out.
I think matplotlib requires the packages libpng12-dev and libfreetype6-dev (if you're on Ubuntu).

Just for others with the same problem, if you're on a Debian Gnu/Linux libpng12-dev is libpng-dev
