registerFunction and setEquation capabilities

Hello, I've been through a number of the tutorials and used Diffpy-CMI to fit some of my own PDF data, and have seen that you can use custom functions for modifying the scale factor as a function of r. Is there anything else that you can use this for? For example if you wanted to use a custom function that modified the atomic-displacement parameters as a function of r like delta2 does would that be possible?
