Partial namespaces?

I have xml that looks like this coming from an api response

<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <soap:Body>
        <CompletedOrdersDayResponse xmlns="http://something/">
            <CompletedOrdersDayResult>
                <entries>
                    <OrderStatusDetails>
                        <ShoppingCartID>0</ShoppingCartID>
                        <Status>-1</Status>
                        <Shipping>0</Shipping>
                        <Handling>0</Handling>
                        <items />
                    </OrderStatusDetails>
                </entries>
            </CompletedOrdersDayResult>
        </CompletedOrdersDayResponse>
    </soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>

When I load this into fluidxml like so

$responseXml = new FluidXml((string) $response->getBody());

and then output the new FluidXml document with xml() I get

<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">

        <default:CompletedOrdersDayResponse xmlns="http://something/">
            <default:CompletedOrdersDayResult>
                <default:entries>
                    <default:OrderStatusDetails>
                        <default:ShoppingCartID>0</ShoppingCartID>
                        <default:Status>-1</Status>
                        <default:Shipping>0</Shipping>
                        <default:Handling>0</Handling>
                        <default:items />
                    </default:OrderStatusDetails>
                </default:entries>

I'd prefer not to have to deal with a generated namespace that is not actually used. Is there a way I can prevent FluidXml from creating this on the non-namespaced nodes?

This behaviour makes the resulting XML document too verbose.

Maybe there could be a MODE flag added to configure this behaviour ?

I'd like to configure this behaviour by myself, but I can't find in the code where this "defalut" prefix (and namespace) is created. Can anyone help me finding it out?

That would be ideal. What I ended up doing feelsbadman.jpg but it works:

$strippedXml = str_replace('default:', '', $responseFragment);
