Reverse Proxy possible?

Hi, sorry, I am relatively new to this.

Is there the possibility to run aooserver behind a reverse proxy in apache? 

I only want to expose ports 80 and 443 to the internet.
I thought, maybe it could be possible to run a vhost aoo.domain.com and then proxy that to the internal 10998, which publically is not available due to ufw rules... but this did not work.
