There are some problems with this plugin on rails 3... Any chance of an update ?

For example,
<% restrict_to 'admin' do %>
whatever...
<% end %>

Causes weird loops of repeated output on the page.

@soloman, into plugin lib/caboose/access_control.rb(at line no. 74) you will find the method definition for restrict_to.

def restrict_to(logicstring, context = {})
  return false if current_user.nil?
  result = ''    
  if permit?(logicstring, context) 
    result = yield if block_given?
  end 
  result
end

As you see there is a yield statement for preparing the result but perhaps this yield statement is getting trap into the loop and repeating the content. To fix the issue you only need to change the last line of the method to "result and return". So the final method definition will look like

def restrict_to(logicstring, context = {})
  return false if current_user.nil?
  result = ''    
  if permit?(logicstring, context) 
    result = yield if block_given?
  end 
  result and return
end
