Hey,

out of curiosity are you open to contributions or should I rather fork? I would like to try and extend your solution with futures connection (namely start with rithmic) and use it for execution. I saw that you had an execution window already but it has been removed. Do you want to have it only for charting w/o any execution?

I also had my eyes on https://github.com/BurnOutTrader/fund-forge/tree/main Which is more algo oriented, but has an interesting idea simmilar to NinjaTrader or Atas - pluggable indicators/strategies. Do you think adding those features would be something to fit flowsurface or not?

That project indeed seems very interesting, i see they also implemented a GUI with Iced and have a basic charting, and had a sophisticated idea to begin with. I don't consider this project's aim being algo oriented in that way though, it will probably support most of the functionality of well known charting softwares, but not in a "pluggable" extensibility way like some of them do. I want this project to be a bit more oriented for discretionary traders for now

I'm very open to contributions. However, trading side of it would need lots of considerations on the whole codebase when we don't have that Rithmic connector for a basic market data stream yet, not even considering probably the foot work needs to be done to UI to support different type of instruments and API handling. I postponed trading execution for this similar reason, because it added complexity I didnt want to deal with before implementing core features(charting), but it's still definitely the goal

If you can come up with a working concept Rithmic adapter in a similar fashion for market data, i'd be happy to collaborate. But the trading part of it likely wont end up on the main branch for a long time, nor i will have the time to maintain those parts of it, until i fully implement trading on charts for crypto markets first

Okay, I will probably then fork this due to the way how I trade (scalping in matter of seconds) So i cant really separate my execution from analysis. Thanks! I will start with the rithmic adapter however so at least that might be made as a PR here
