We have recently adapted the GO ribbon code (pulled from https://github.com/geneontology/wc-ribbon/tree/master/wc-go-ribbon) for use on Xenbase and would like to ensure proper credit is given in an upcoming publication. I have reviewed the GO citation policy webpage but was unable to find information on how to cite the ribbon code itself. Currently, we are including the following citations:
I am wondering if there is a preferred citation specifically for the GO ribbon code? Since the 2023 paper describes the ribbon, is this citation enough?
