Fault Ordering is not enabled

Environment

What version are you running? v1.0.0.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Setup all the steps following the GitHub guidelines;
2. When I ran the UI tests, the file generated says that debugger has no response;
3. Also the following is printed at console on the beginning of the UI test run:

Running tests...
Fault ordering is not enabled

Expected Result

Fault Ordering should render the order file correctly.

Actual Result

Running tests...
Fault ordering is not enabled

is there any missing configuration need to be done in order for Fault Ordering to run?

Hey @leonardo-ferreira07 the UI test sets the environment var "RUN_FAULT_ORDER" on the target app before it launches. It sounds like you are launching the app separately from the UI test. Can you make sure the app is not running, and then run just the UI test? Also, are you using a device or simulator?

Using the debugger while fault ordering is running is not supported, so please disable any breakpoints from the app before running it.

We have a Demo in Demo/DemoApp that is already set up so you can run that UI test to make sure there is nothing else interfering with your setup. Can you try using that first?

I'm using the simulator and just did test with the DemoApp, but it does not seem to work same as my own app. I made sure to disable breakpoints and all.

I'm attaching some screenshots for your reference, but it Fault Ordering does generates the order-file, both in DemoApp and my own app, but it just does not seem to be like the LinkMap.txt that is generated when we run the app normally at first. Is that correct? The order-file is the expected one?

Based on the screenshot you attached everything is working, I see you have an order file generated. It's expected to see "Fault ordering is not enabled" in the UI test logs because you are generating the order file for the app being tested, not the app hosting the tests

@leonardo-ferreira07 looking at this again, I think you might be running it as a debug build instead of a release build? A debug build uses the "debug dylib" which makes fault ordering much less effective. It still works, but you'll end up with a much smaller order file than a release build would have

I am also getting the warning: Fault ordering is not enabled when the test is running.

The DemoApp can generate the order file. But my project is getting this kind of error:

I'm following the setup steps, not sure what I've missed, or any wrong/missing configuration.
