Character lost when battery dies

Well into a run (just gained disintegration resistance!), my battery died. Once the phone recharged, I re-opened the game. My character name was pre-filled as expected, but selecting the save brought me to the character creation screen rather than where I had been. This is the second time this has happened (stupid me, I know).
