Description
Problem Description:
To create digital corporate GHG inventories and corresponding reports in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, organizations will need to delineate their organizational and operational boundaries and attribute GHG sources and emissions accordingly. These organizational and operational structures are often complex and changing, and therefore organizational entities, facilities, and assets need to be able to be dynamically added to or removed from an organization. Further, GHG sources and emissions must be attributed to organizational entities, facilities, assets, and products in a dynamic, yet standardized manner. These schemas will be referred to as “Main Framework” schemas and will be common to all organizational GHGP users.
Requirements:
Main Framework schemas must be able to accommodate all organizational and operational structures across various industries, sectors, and business contexts. The Primary GHG Report shall support the fundamental reporting metrics and requirements of the GHGP Corporate Standard.
Main Framework Schemas will include:
- Organizational Profile
- Entity Profile
- Facility/Asset Profile
- Primary GHG Report
Definition of Done:
Main Framework schemas have been developed for GHGP v3 based on the community requirements gathered and research conducted. Main Framework schemas have been presented and discussed with the GHG community and accepted by all key stakeholders as sufficient and complete.
Acceptance Criteria:
Main Framework schemas accepted and approved by GHG community members and other key stakeholders.
