override block gets duplicated

in file layout/base.j2, I have a block in head tag

  {% block syntaxhighlighter_css %}
  {% endblock syntaxhighlighter_css %}

in file content/blog/post-name.html

overriding the block with following content,

{% block syntaxhighlighter_css %}
<link rel="stylesheet" href="{{ media_url('css/shCore.css') }}" type="text/css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="{{ media_url('css/shThemeDefault.css') }}" type="text/css" />
{% endblock syntaxhighlighter_css %}

after generating with hyde gen, in the file deploy/blog/post-name.html
the link tags are duplicated in both head tag as-well-as in body tag.
