Bug description and reproduction
When advancing through videos in the media viewer, if loading the next item is blocking, the video of the current item continues to play giving the appearance that the GUI is responsive an your input has not been processed.
Before any action that could block GUI processing, the playback of video or animations should be pause in the next/prev action handlers.
