Replace shortid package by nanoid #76

shortid is deprecated, because the architecture is unsafe.
Nano ID is the recommend one, which has the advantage of also being significantly faster than shortid.
I've already done that on esm branch, however, since we still don't know when it will be merged in master (main) this issue is a friendly reminder to keep this change in mind.
