Support for React 19

I would like to request support for React 19 in this package. Currently, the package seems to support React versions up to 18.x, but with React 19 being released, it would be great to have compatibility with it as well.
React 19 introduces some new features and optimizations that we would like to leverage in our project. Supporting this version would ensure the package remains up-to-date and compatible with the latest React ecosystem.

@kanapan I haven't done any fixes, maybe I'll find time to bother doing it, otherwise feel free to open a PR (on my fork) if this is urgent for you 😄
