Bug[AI Chat]: AI Unable to Process Images

Uploaded images are transmitted as base64 strings instead of being handled as image payloads. This causes the AI to fail when attempting to process or understand image content. In certain cases, the base64 data is missing entirely, and only the filename reference is passed, resulting in broken or unprocessable uploads.

To Reproduce:

• Upload an image through the AI chat.
• Ask the AI if it is able to understand the image's content. It will report that the image is passed as base64, or that it can only see a filename. Sometimes, it will completely make up the facts and report incorrect image description.

Expected behavior: Images should be transmitted as proper binary or multipart payloads so the AI can access and process image content accurately.

I can confirm this issue. We should let AI SDK handle the images rather than converting it to base64 ourselves.
