changing an obj's color

how do u change the color of tquery text? i've tried the setHex() & setClearColor() methods & neither are working. Also, alot of the examples give me a Cross Orgin Policy error when i run them from my laptop. I'm using the latest version/build of Google Chrome. Is there some command, extension, etc i need to download to stop this from happening?  Thanx in advance!
