Loading sets from Challonge not supported anymore? #928
-
|
I tried loading sets from a Challonge bracket today and saw a pop-up about the support for loading Challonge tournaments not continuing. I'm not sure, but I think it said something about it only applying to the most recent versions (5.9 onwards) and the earlier ones still working. I had 5.7 or 5.8 but TSH couldn't fetch any of the sets, tried restarting the bracket, TSH and updating to 5.965 but none of it worked for me. It worked last month, but is the Challonge support gone for good? Tried searching the forum without seeing any relevant hits |

Hi! Due to the inability to easily access the data from Challonge compared to, say, StartGG, it's been ever difficult to continue supporting Challonge as we have to essentially beat their DDoS protection to pull data, which has caused many issues with TSH to keep spamming Challonge and not being a good experience for users. As such, after the next release, we will be dropping Challonge support to focus on revamping our integrations and adding more tournament sites that are more user and dev friendly. This wasn't a light decision to make, but as it makes our ability to make TSH work successful with Challonge even more difficult, we felt it was in the best interest for TSH.
