So Kwankius latest update b09 adds an alarm mirrors ranked statistics by ping .. It works. But ive found out that it works better on Radxa CM5 using Rock 5D image.
Should the installer reboot twice by default to avoid hot replugging? |

System Starts TUI Installer:
1st Step – Connecting to Wi-Fi
The installer detects my SSID and connects successfully.
Next, I proceed through the installation steps up to the "Confirm Install" screen.
At this point, the Wi-Fi still seems fine, and the basic setup appears to be working as expected.
After confirming the installation details, things start to go wrong:
The system begins some setup processes, but there's no visible progress bar.
I see GPG errors flash by too quickly to read. It completes this step almost instantly, making it hard to understand what failed.
The next screen is for mirror selection (I had chosen automatic). It spends some time fetching and sorting the best mirrors — nice work on that part, Samuel.
However, once this finishes... the system reboots.
1st Reboot – Wi-Fi Breaks
After the first reboot, Wi-Fi no longer connects.
The installer brings you back to the TUI Wi-Fi setup menu (which is better than crashing outright).
But here, reconnecting to your SSID fails. It might claim to be connected, but it’s actually bricked.
Options like “Test Connection" or “Reconnect Ethernet” don’t solve the issue. You’ll get errors or invalid results, effectively trapping you in the Wi-Fi test menu.
Only fix: physically unplug and replug the board (hot power cycle).
After the Hot Replug:
Wi-Fi reconnects successfully.
The installation proceeds smoothly, fetching files quickly and showing progress bars.
Kernel, firmware, and the desktop environment install without further issues.
Another reboot happens, and the system boots into the desktop environment login manager.
Post-Install Issues:
Once in the terminal, basic commands fail due to missing components.
Something fundamental didn’t install properly, and you’ll need to manually reinstall it to fix the system.
Conclusion:
b09 fixed: mirror-list installation issue!
It is an 100% great addition!
System gets installed!
But it --- It also requires a fix to its mirrors.
I would suggest adding such Tui Installer option of fixing the mirrors to the acu Terminal also !
Giving its users some ease of mind in terms of fixing any mirror mistakes from its desktop environment too.
Mirror List certificates are the main problem.
Its hard for me to elaborate on this one.
I bet theres arch linux commands to fix these problems.
The solution:
Deleting the first 20 selected mirrors.
Expired ssl certificates are an issue from them mirrors.
