Hey, I ran into this issue too and figured out the cause.

The project is using PyScript, but it's referencing the old alpha version:

<script defer src="https://pyscript.net/alpha/pyscript.js"></script>

Those files have been removed from the PyScript servers, which is why nothing loads properly.

I found that switching to version 2022.05.1—which seems to be the closest available version to alpha—works fine with this project:

<script defer src="https://pyscript.net/releases/2022.05.1/pyscript.js"></script>

After updating the links, the canvas displays and everything runs as expected.
