forvard back play/pause physical buttons barely working

In most cases physical buttons not working. I can't to detect the pattern. Sometimes they work, but most of the times they don't

Any app can take over the media buttons, including Safari, if you play a video in the browser. Completely out of my control.

Third edit: Manually actuating the play control in the app sometimes restores play control to it. But usually you have to stop whatever it is that is using the media keys already. In the case of Safari, you frequently have to close all media tabs, and sometimes close the browser entirely.
