Camera does not contain definition for fieldOfView

Unity claims the cam doesn't contain a definition for fieldOfView, however switching it to camera makes it change into getComponent, was wondering if you could fix it as I'm struggling to myself.

In what context are you getting this message? I just set up a new project, imported the new Inpust System, then imported the controller, and it works fine with no complaints about fieldOfView. What are you trying to do that causes this error?

Was trying to apply it to the prefab after importing the full zip manually, what kind of engine version are you using?

Apply it to the prefab how? I've just changed the FOV on the camera fine with no errors by adjusting the slider. Are you trying to do it via script? I've edited it both in a scene and the prefab itself with no problems.

I'm using 2021.3.7f1 LTS right now.

When I import the package the prefab doesn't come with the script attached so I have to put the script back onto the prefab. It could be a problem with the engine version as I'm using 2022.1.0b9 and plan on moving to 2022.1.16f1

Ah that'll be it then, tested working in 2019 to 2021 LTS versions, I suspect the beta might have changed something in the API and/or there is a bug with prefabs and scripts. If it doesn't work in the f1 tech release let me know and I'll install and see if what might be causing it.
