using \author{name \and name2 \and ... nameN} is not really supported when you have too many authors. the author names intersect the title and logo in the footer and goes offscreen. it prints the author names fine on the title screen under the title but not in the footer.

any workarounds? can redefine \author{group} in the middle of the presentation to make the author displayed in the presentation only "group" or something short but not sure if that's possible in the titlepage...

might be worth mentioning that i am using emacs org-mode to export to beamer pdf file.

A workaround would be to use et al. or some other abbreviation to make it fit, if that helps.
