Could this be generalized as "My portable Linux dotfiles"? I think I actually like that. I could even mention how it works on my Windows machine (at least on WSL)

Mention that my dot files started as individual applications, then later included my NixOS config flake. The app configs worked just fine, so I didn't have much motivation to change them. I tried and failed to move to Home Manager, and I'm glad it worked out that way. Home Manager promises homogeneity at the cost of portability.
