Description
Contemporary, mainstream a///i is insufferable.
I took a course on classical a///i in college. (Throw in a historical figure to express that it's been around for ages)
A side note or teaching opportunity: the term a///i has been grossly but reasonably vilified. The tech is advancing too fast for proper verbiage to develop and stick. Hatred directed towards "a///i" is comparable to rallying for universal bans on "vehicles".
The legislation (or lack thereof) is the real problem. Tech moving too fast. See: piracy in the PS1 era. Those in power are those who benefit, so we're at a stalemate.
My em dashes have been butchered. My semicolons are still safe for now.
Some optimism: I hope this sparks a renaissance of valuing the tangible. Everything digital has been compromised. We can only be sure that something exists when we see, hear, and feel it.
