How to build this thing?

One instruction not found in any README are the instructions for how to build Lage. I've not found any yet, and going through what I would have expected didn't do me any good. I wanted to work on a known-good version, so I checked out tag that corresponds to (as of today) lage@latest.

This is not at all what I expected. What step did I miss in the install and build process?

Nevermind; it was a version conflict between my global node_modules and the local set.
