Does not work with the current version of OBS

I have tried 5.9, and 5.0, but neither version works correctly with the current version of OBS Studio 32.0.1.  Version 5.0 makes OBS unusable (Not responding), and with 5.9 the reset function does not work.  Trying to edit the Custom Format is extremely difficult, as any change forces the cursor to go to the end of the line.
