Possible to auto-find the switcher?

Love this tool, but I wonder if there's a way to automatically detect the IP address of the switcher.  Perhaps this could be done using the MAC address?  Somehow, Blackmagic's ATEM software control is able to find what IP addresses the switchers are assigned to on the network, I wonder how they do it.
