--column-delimiter character as hex value

Hello,
i'm trying OV in column mode to view a csv file where the separator is binary 1.
I'm trying to pass the parameter as an hex value but it is ignored.

• ov -H1 -d'\x01' -c --column-mode filename
• ov -H1 -d"\x01" -c --column-mode filename
  Does anyone know if it is possible? I'm working in linux mint 20.3/bash.

Normally it just uses the character you specify. For special characters a regular expression might work.
Try the following:

 ov -H1 -d"/\x01/" -c --column-mode filename

unfortunately it did not work.
What worked was this:
ov -H1 -d'�' -c --column-mode --align filename

where the funny character is the unknown representation of a character that I copied and pasted and which represents the 0x01.
It would be convenient in the future if there were a way to specify delimiters in hex mode.

I tried it and it worked, so I don't know the cause. If it's part of the actual file, maybe we can find out.

Or try the following to see if it matches:

ov --regexp-search --pattern "\x01"

Anyway, I'm glad it was solved!
