Why and when should i use this plugin?

Hey,
just now i migrated my laravel package from phpunit to pest with the drift plugin.
All my tests are working, so why should i use this plugin here?

Also i opened some composer.json from spatie open source packages and there also did not use this plugin

I second this question. What's the purpose of this plugin, and how do we use it? Couldn't find any docs about it.
