+### Internet in Developing Countries
+
+Mentors need to be prepared to work with interns who have internet issues. Outreachy interns in India, countries in Africa, and other developing nations often have slower internet or pay for the amount of data they use.
+
+Tips for mentors:
+- Assume the intern is using mobile data for their internet.
+- Assume the internet plan requires the intern to pay for the amount of data used.
+- Ask the intern whether they prefer video calls, phone calls, or text chat.
+- Avoid asking the intern to download large amounts of data or install tools multiple times.
+- Be prepared for internet outages; help the intern prepare to work offline.
+- Be flexible and modify project plans if needed.
+- Extensions are not necessary for a few missed days, but required if offline for a week or more.
