Page loses focus when I come back to it from another app

In brackets, if I would select some code just to keep it highlighted and go to another file in the project, or leave the app altogether. I'd be able to see it highlighted when I returned to the file, but now whenever I return, my cursor goes all over the page, or to a completely different file, it's hard to explain. I can't just click on the surrounding app frame anymore to see where I was earlier.

Is there a setting to change this behavior?

Can you give the exact steps to repro duce the issue. I tried it and on switching back the selection is maintained. Do you click on the app icon on the system tray to switch the app or directly on the editor? Step by step instructions on what to do and what is expected would help.
