Change Hyperpixel 4.0 Screen Brightness? #62

I read the thread on screen brightness from 2023 but the tools there seem to be deprecated. Wiringpi is noted as deprecated while the solution at the end of the thread using pigpio is now also faulty due to the pythonsetuptools easy_install command being deprecated. Pigpio also notes on their github that pigpio on a raspberry pi 5 (what I am using) "probably won't work". Does anyone know how I one might manage the Hyperpixel 4.0 Rectangle screen brightness on the raspberry pi 5?
