한 명의 스타 플레이어(target program)를 얻으려면 Bottom up enumeration처럼 수많은 어린 유망주 선수들(terminals)이 필요합니다. 하지만 유형이 비슷한 선수는 불필요한 중복 자원이기 때문에 Equivalence Reduction과 같이 방출됩니다. 불필요한 자원들은 모두 나가고, 살아남은 선수들이 서로의 장점을 흡수하며 성장해 팬들이 원하는 스타 플레이어가 됩니다.
