nginxproxy_comp DeserializationError

Hello,
I am trying to run gitfab, but nginxproxy-companion fails to get the certificate. Instead it outputs the following error message:

nginxproxy_comp | DeserializationError: Deserialization error: Wrong directory fields

Solution:
After some time I found that this happened because my server is configured for the subdomains gitlab.xyz.de and registry.xyz.de, but not for xyz.de, which points somewhere else.

I was able to fix it by adding another subdomain level: gitlab.abc.xyz.de and directing abc.xyz.de to the gitfab host.

I am not sure if this is an issue relating gitfab or letsencrypt-companion.
