chromebook "shuts down" when vt2 combo is pressed

whenever I'm in murkmod, among other things, vt2 does not work. every time i press the combo (ctrl + alt + f2/forward), the screen turns off. I find that if I hold the power button down for a few seconds, vt2 flashes for a second, then the computer shuts back down. same thing happens if I close and open the lid.

this only happens in murkmod and not when normally unenrolled.

steps to reproduce:

1. install murkmod v118 via devmode vt2 installer while unenrolled
2. boot and attempt to enter vt2

murkmod already does not work properly for me so I figured that if I could enter vt2 I could at least edit policies.

Is it possible that your gbb flags aren't set correctly, this could cause issues with everything. You might be able to fix them with Sh1mmer.

what should they be? I have them set to 0x8090/91, and every time I check they still are the same I set them to.

I am also having this issue, I doubt gbb flags have anything to do with it. Murkmod isn't working well at all currently, I think this is another effect of #175
