Cursor jumping to left edge of screen when hovering over actions - such as Standby / Switchover

Whenever I hover the cursor over an action - such as Standby / Switchover - for longer than 1 second, my mouse will jump to the left edge of the screen. It is very annoying and I have no idea why this is happening. I've tried multiple mouse and keyboard combinations to no avail.

I've searched in issues - both closed and open - and I see no one else has reported this issue. As such, it might not be related to the application. However, I find it odd that in the 18+ years since I migrated to Linux, this is the first time I'm seeing this behavior!

I have the same behavior here, it's very annoying on a multi-monitor workstation, always bringing the mouse back from the left edge of the left monitor
