Feature request: add support for broadcasting and listening to custom events

Broadcasting and listening to events is a pattern that is extensively used in scratch and many online tutorials use it to implement features ranging from shooting semi/automatic projectiles to the conversation between characters. Adding support for it in this library would make the transition from scratch much easier.
