Description
Occasionally I will connect my iPhone via USB to my PC to view and transfer photos. An unlocked iPhone presents as a Portable Device folder in Windows File Explorer using the Media Transfer Protocol. If I double-click a photo it opens in FlyPhotos as expected, however it is not then possible to skip to other photos in the folder. If I press Delete, Fly closes without any error but the photo is not deleted.
If I test the same with Picasa I see the exact same behaviour. I believe this is because the folder has neither a drive letter (which is more typical for cameras attached via USB) or a UNC path, it just appears through the "This PC" folder and is not a standard filesystem mount.
I have read that there are methods to obtain and access the underlying device path, or alternatively there is a Windows Portable Device API which is the more official way to interact with this filesystem. This might be horribly complex, but might be worth further investigation to see if full MTP support can be added to FlyPhotos.
