Notepad3 holds an exclusive lock for too long on save

I have a process with a FileSystemWatcher that immediately reads an xml file when it changes on disk.

If I open and save that file in notepad3 (6.23.203.2), my process throws an exception:

Maybe Settings -> File Change Notificaion -> OFF may help, since you have another process to watch file changes, this can be OFF ?

Possibly, but the two watchers serve distinct and non-conflicting use cases. The other process is not a second text editor, it's an app that happens to have an xml config file. I don't want to disable a useful feature in my text editor in order to retain hot reload in an unrelated application.

Feel free to test the "BETA PortableApps", version "Notepad3Portable_6.26.224.1_beta.paf" or newer, see 1st list in issue #1129.

"Notepad3Portable BETA PortableApps" version can be used with or without ".7z" extension.

Also, feel free to test the "BETA Setup", version "Notepad3_6.26.224.1_beta_Setup" or newer, see the 2nd list in issue #1129.
