External Redirects stopped working

Any ideas why redirects to an external url would stop working. On one server they work perfect, on another with the exact same database, they don't. Same apache/php config on both.

@dgrigg what is the error message that you are seeing?
If you do a DB dump and restore, does the problem persist?
Or, since it's been a while, do you still get the error after you've updated to the latest version of Redirect Manager?

I am seeing the same issue - external redirects apparently randomly switch between working (Location: http://whatever) and not working (Location: http://craftsite.tld/http://whatever) - I don't maintain the site but I do handle the IT aspects of it. I am using the latest v1.9.1, on nginx.
