Set 'attempting to reconnect' duration

This is mainly an issue with mobile. If the screen is turned off (e.g. iphone 5) for more than 15 seconds, and then turned back on, the user has to restart their session. This can be quite disruptive to the user experience. Is there a way to set a longer 'attempting to reconnect' duration?

Hello,

I created an issue earlier, but I just came across this one, as well as PR #370, which was never merged. In my case, the problem occurs with an app running on a self-hosted server on my local machine, not on a mobile device. I experience frequent network interruptions due to an unstable Wi-Fi connection and VPN usage - and in such cases, 15 seconds isn’t sufficient.

Any work around?
