Disable "two-handed" middle taps

How can one set a maximum distance between the three fingers for middle tap to activate? Sometimes, my palm touches at the bottom corner while navigating due to the enormous size of the trackpad and it activates middle tap because my palm may register as two fingers. I assume this occurs to support two-handed middle taps.
