Trackpad not working on new Macbook Pro M4 (Sequoia 15.2)

Tried it in Plasticity and Houdini, cannot get the trackpad middle clicks to work.
Tried all the different versions, the only one that works is using the FN button and Right click. Which is great.
But the others should work too... 😄🐸

Thanks for reporting.

In Plasticity, the default middle click behavior is rotating and if you want it to pan then you'll have to select a different preset in the Navigation tab of the Plasticity settings (it works for me with the Fusion 360 preset).

I think it should work out of the box with Houdini, so to start troubleshooting let's see what Middle sees: hold the option key in the Middle menu bar menu and select Debug > Show viewer...

If you don't see a window displaying touches, then we should first try resetting the accessibility permissions for Middle:

In the Terminal:

killall Middle
tccutil reset All com.knollsoft.Middle
open -a Middle

If you don't want to use the Terminal, here are the same steps to do this manually:

1. Close Middle if it's running
2. In System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Accessibility, first disable Middle, then remove it with the minus button (in that order)
3. Launch Middle and enable settings for it as prompted.

Sometimes a reboot will also help after executing those steps.

Let me know what you find.

I use the Maya settings for Plasticity. Fn key workflow works OK'ish, but not 3 fingers.
Houdini, I used your viewer, it looks correct when using it (I see three rings when touching with 3 fingers and when I click, the background turns grey for as long as I hold fingers down), but nothing happens in Houdini when using 3 fingers.
Tried rebooting after using Terminal. Still not working.

Another thing to try is to adjust the way that Middle will handle the click input. In the Middle menu bar menu, hold the option key and select Debug > Optimize for Games.

Let me know if that gets things working for either of those apps.
