MiddleClick lags scroll in MacBook when default ProMotion is on

OS: Sequoia 15.6.1

MiddleClicks lags scrolling when using MacBook's TouchPad, making it choppy and very slowed down. To reproduce just quickly scroll up and down using the touchpad with two fingers several times, then release it and watch as the scrollbar keeps moving on its own for a few more seconds. The events are probably reaching the application with a significant delay.

The workaround is to switch off ProMotion in Displays (which does not fix the problem completely), or uninstall MiddleClick (fixes the problem).

Unfortunately, I had to uninstall MiddleClick. Could you please suggest other software with similar functionalities that works without lagging my computer?

Are you using https://github.com/artginzburg/MiddleClick?

If so, the other software with similar functionalities that works without lagging your computer that I recommend is Middle.

If you are seeing this with Middle, let me know and I'll see what I can do.
