Description
Site should have links to some introductory tutorials for other languages that are more advanced, or more accessible. Some examples:
- TI-Basic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TI-BASIC), if graphing calculators are still used in schools. This was my "first language" simply because I had access to a calculator before I knew what an "IDE" was.
- Javascript/HTML/CSS because they're so commonly used (https://insights.stackoverflow.com/survey/2021#section-most-popular-technologies-programming-scripting-and-markup-languages) and kids loved it 20 years ago (https://www.codecademy.com/resources/blog/myspace-and-the-coding-legacy/)
Also include introductions to other IDEs, so they can pick their own language and continue using a familar tool. IDEs like:
- Visual Studio Code, the apparent IDE of choice (https://insights.stackoverflow.com/survey/2021#section-most-popular-technologies-programming-scripting-and-markup-languages)
- Maybe just VSCode. That's a huge lead.
